My First Car

I didn't think I would be able to do it. It's been in my family for as long as I can remember and just like that, it's gone. I'm talking about my truck. It's not just my truck, it's a Ford Expedition, it's what my family and I took up north when we were young, and most of all, it was my first car.
There is a feeling of freedom that only comes from your first car. I loved that big thing. I think my dad took it just as hard as I did. After all he was the one driving us out to the dells and up north with his young family. And to see it go was hard for him, like anything passed down that gets let go.
But the story isn't all sad and gloomy. Before handing over the keys I got a little background on my buyer. He is a father of a young family of 5. He moved up from Illinois and was looking for something to haul around his growing family... Sounds familiar. Yep I think it's in good hands and will be used the way it was meant to be used.

  1. Nobody felt bad when Old Gray bit the dust. Where's the love for the mini van? Haha! Very nice post, and I am glad it is in good hands.
